SARASOTA — When we watch our Suncoast high school athletes compete under the bright lights, most people do not get the opportunity to see the hard work that goes on behind closed doors.
Our student athlete of the week has been putting in the work, and then some for the Booker’s varsity girls soccer program. Ashley Sledziewski, has not missed a practice since the school year started back in August. Sledziewski has shown the commitment, and leadership qualities to a team looking to turn a corner in the winter.
First year head coach Rodolfo Esqueda, returned to his alma mater, Booker, from Argentina, where he spent time coaching soccer and field hockey.
