SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Zy’marion Lang announced yesterday that he is transferring from Palmetto to Cardinal Mooney for his senior season.
In recent days prior to the yesterday’s announcement, Lang also unveiled his top four schools in Kansas State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina and USF.
Lang, a 6’3 and 170-pound receiver is rated as a three-star prospect by On3, Rivals and 247Sports, ranked as high as the No. 20 receiver in the class and the No. 81 player in Florida. Lang cut an extensive list that included offers from Tennessee, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Louisville, Miami, Purdue, Duke, Indiana, Boston College and others down to those aforementioned four.
Last season, Lang had 28 receptions for 470 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 6-4 season for Palmetto.
It’s also worth noting that Lang’s transfer to Cardinal Mooney will come with some familiarity, as former Palmetto Head Coach Dave Marino is now on the Cougars staff.
