VENICE – A Suncoast family that was stuck in Peru is finally home after weeks of being stranded.
The Herald–Tribune reports Kathy Curry, her son, daughter–in–law and two grandchildren traveled to Peru on March 13th and became stranded when the Peruvian government closed their borders on March 15th.
Curry a Lakewood Ranch Medical Center nurse has been stranded in the country waiting on US government officials to come get them.
And after weeks of waiting her son Jesse Curry confirmed via twitter the family was able to return home after the US government finally stepped in to help.
