VENICE -Venice Regional Bayfront Health is reporting the second patient to die of coronavirus in Sarasota County.
The death was confirmed by hospital spokeswoman Julie Beatty Thursday afternoon. Officials say the patient was an 82 year-old man who arrived to the hospital with “symptoms consistent with those associated with novel Coronavirus.”
The patient was separated from others to prevent the spread of the virus. Sarasota county health department spokesman Steve Huard says the man had no travel history.
