SARASOTA – State Representative Margaret Good continues to meet constituents on the home stretch of the campaign trail – but she wasn’t alone.

On Saturday Rep. Good met with members of the Newtown Farmers Market. There she spoke to individuals about the issues plaguing the area, which included the City of Sarasota contaminated water system. Fresh off the heels of her debate with Congressman Vern Buchanan.

Rep. Good says – Suncoast residents are ready for a change in representation for Florida’s 16th Congressional district.

“The choice cannot be more clear. There’s a reason why people support term limits,” said Rep. Good. “Vern Buchanan has been in office too long and he cares more about himself and getting things for himself than he does about than the people he’s supposed to represent.”

Rep. Good then went on to Payne Park to introduce U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, who was out campaigning in Florida as part of the Joe Biden Bus Tour. Sen Klobuchar says this election is like no other.

Noting several key Republicans who voted for President Donald Trump in 2016 will be casting their ballot for Biden.

“To me it’s an election like no other, and as Joe has said many times it’s not a partisan moment it’s an American moment,” said Sen. Klobuchar “That’s why I think you see people like the former Republican governor of Minnesota Arnie Carlson campaigning here in Florida for Joe Biden, it’s why you see Cindy McCain hold heatedly endorsing Joe Biden. So in that way I think it’s a moment like we have never seen before in our politics.”

Sen. Klobuchar ran against Biden in the Democratic presidential primary but dropped out of the race shortly before Super Tuesday. She encourages all on the Suncoast to make their voice heard by voting.
