Tom Brady: ‘No retirement in my future’

Tom Brady

TAMPA (SNN-TV) – Chris Simms, a former quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers turned sports analyst, had opined that its possible Tom Brady could retire before the end of the current NFL season. Today, Brady answered back.

Tom Brady says he has no plans to walk away from football before the end of the season, despite the speculation otherwise. The 45 year old pushed back on that claim during his mid-week press conference Thursday. Brady stated, “I love the sport, I love the teammates, and I want to go do a good job for this team like I always have…so, no retirement in my future.”

Brady also apologized over comments he made earlier in the week where he likened playing in the NFL to “going away on deployment in the military.”

The Bucs are 3-3 to start the season, and travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers this Sunday at 1pm.
