SARASOTA (WSNN) – More than 200 Suncoast Republicans welcome the Women For Trump tour in Sarasota.

“This election is so important to us in our lifetime,” Florida’s Former Attorney general, Pam Bondi said. “President Trump made one of the greatest economies, he’s going to do it again.”

Supporters raise signs and honk their horns for the Women for Trump tour bus as it makes its fourth day stop. Tour Speakers included Katrina Campins, Erin Perrine, Pam Bondi, and Mercedes Schlapp.

The goal?

“Getting the message out about why it’s so important we reelect President Trump and Vice President Pence,” Director of Press Communications for Trump/Pence 2020, Erin Perrine said.

Florida attorney general, Ashley Moody, says events like this help shine a light on how much support Trump has from Women.

“I know President Trump very much supports mothers that are trying to excel in their careers and their families and do all of it well,” Moody said. “We want safe communities for our children to thrive in and he stands for that, and will make the tough choices, even if they’re not popular, to make sure that we’re safe.”

President Trump supporters rallied at the Republican Party Headquarters in Sarasota. Candidate for Florida House of Representatives District 27, Fiona McFarland, says she feels inspired for the upcoming elections.

“As a candidate, it’s so motivating that we have so many people that are engaged in the political process and our excited to support the president,” McFarland said.

Perrine says it’s really important to connect with voters directly in events like this, across the country.

“We know how important it is to get the message directly to the American people because when there’s a 95percent negative coverage of the President of the United States, it’s our job to get the facts out there,” Perrine said.

Knowing Florida is a swing state, Republican Chairman of Sarasota County, Jack Brill says he’s confident about President Trump’s chances.

“It’s Florida, Florida, Florida! It’s all about us, we hand this victory to President Trump, he’s going back to the White House,” Brill said. “In 2016, President Trump won by 26,000 votes in Sarasota County, we’re planning on keeping it at 26,000. Our goal is 28 to 29,000 so we can help support the rest of the state of Florida.”

Sarasota resident, Lillian Ridgeway says she’s voting for President Trump because she says he’s kept the promises he’s made.

“He’s done so much for this nation that no other candidate, certainly not Joe could step into his shoes,” Ridgeway said. “He’s the best president we’ve ever had.”

“We’re going to get rid of socialism,” Sarasota veteran, Michael Pagani said.

From South Africa to the United States, Cynthia Crowe finds a home here in Venice.

“I implore people, socialism doesn’t work,” Crowe said. “I’ve lived under it, I don t want to live under it again. I’m 84 years old. I got nowhere else to go. So, please we have to support Trump.”

Brill says he hopes we can unite the divided nation again.

“I’m hoping on November 4th, that everybody will come together,” Brill said. “And, we are one country, one nation, everybody has individual rights, but we want to make sure we take care of each other cause this is still the greatest nation in the world.

Masks were encouraged,  but Brill said the decision was left up to the attendees.
