SARASOTA – A fabulous blast of color makes its way to the Robarts Arena in Sarasota. Formerly known as the Sarasota Craft Show, The Art and Design Show hosts its 11th year. Artists came from all over the United States to showcase their artwork. It included clay art, ceramic art, wood art, and many other types of art. Inside the arena, they had about 70 booths.
After 10 years, the show had its first free-admission day. The producer of the show, Richard Rothbard, says he is glad he made it a free because the attendance doubled compared to last year.
“The energy of the show this year is like a new show,” Richard Rothbard said. “It’s like we just gave birth to a brand new child in the heart of Sarasota that has more grandmas and more grandpas attending an event than any other event anywhere.”
