MANATEE – It was chance for local business owner’s to mix and mingles amongst other Suncoast entrepreneur at the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. The quarterly meeting connects the public with locally own business as well with one another.

“It is a collection of over 50 business and restaurants that are on display. We’ve invited our entire membership which is over 1,100 businesses to come connect, meet other business, learn about other business,” said Casten.

Casten, President and CEO of Sarasota Chamber of Commerce,says event like these are a great way for residents to discover new local companies. “Our whole premise of the chamber is to connect, promote and grow the business in Sarasota,” she said.

Kim Livengood with the Bazaar on Apricot & Lime, an indoor Indy market attended her first chamber of commerce and made some lasting impressions.

“We’re probably the only vendor that is retail base with the concept that we have because we are unique to Sarasota,” said Livengood. “We are a community of people that have come together and love what we are doing and area really creating something different in the Sarasota area.”

Chief Marketing Officer of Sarasota Orthopedic Associates Sandi Wall has been coming to the summer showcase for four years and looks for other business to partner with to support local shops on the Suncoast.

“It gives us an opportunity to really talk about the business and also connect with other business,” said Wall.

Casten says the next time local business get to intermingle it will be when the chamber of commerce of Sarasota and Manatee County hold a joint event in October.
