BRADENTON, Fla. (WSNN) — The Florida Highway Patrol said it will step up patrols this Halloween weekend in Manatee County.
The “DUI Wolfpack Detail” will be out from 10 p.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Sunday.
While specific areas are not released, FHP said it will focus on “major state and county roadways.”
“The Florida Highway Patrol organizes such details to proactively remove impaired drivers from the roadways and ultimately enhance the safety of the motoring public,” a news release said. “Troopers will be mobile while monitoring traffic to maximize their visibility and effectiveness in removing impaired drivers from the roadways.”
FHP said you can dial *347 from your cell phone to report aggressive drivers or if you need roadside assistance.
