SARASOTA (WSNN) –  Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is preparing to create a magical holiday with its annual “Lights in Bloom” show.

Two million lights will be illuminating the gardens from glowing flowers and butterflies to even a “Florida reindeer.”

It opens to the public next Saturday on December 12th.

After 17 years of hosting this show, the garden will be doing things a little differently, calling it “An Open-Air Holiday Light Show” for a reason.

“The usual activities that have taken place; we’re really limiting it to making sure we’re providing a safe experience,” President & CEO Jennifer Rominiecki said. “This year we thought that it would be safe for Santa to stay in his workshop.”

Santa won’t be coming to town, but you can still enjoy the spray-on face painting, balloon artistry, and photo ops.

Since this year is more limited, Rominiecki strongly encourages you to purchase your tickets in advance online.
