AUGUSTA (SNN-TV) – The greatest golf tournament in the world, the Masters, wrapped up on Sunday in Augusta.

The 2022 rendition had a first time winner, but it was hardly a surprise.

Scottie Scheffler, the number one ranked golfer in the world, walked away with first place in the number one major in his sport.

Scheffler shot 10-under, winning by three whole strokes over runner-up Rory McIlroy.

It goes down as Scheffler’s first career major win, making him the fifth different world number one to become a Masters champion.

Talk about recent success, as it was Scheffler’s fourth career win in the last 57 days, a pretty good couple months.

Tiger Woods finished with a 6-over par 78 on Saturday, his worst score in a Masters round, and finished with the same score on Sunday to finish the tournament 13-over.
