SARASOTA – Do you like to cook? Wednesday you can put on your chef’s hat for a great cause.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital presents Foodlosophy, where St. Jude supporters can gather for a virtual culinary experience. The livestream will have an online auction, charcuterie experience, and follow-along cooking demonstration with Suncoast standout chefs Christian Hershman from The Overton, and Chef Darwin from Darwin Peruvian Eatery. Hershman says although the event is virtual this year, he’s proud to be part of something that uses the universal love language of cooking to help sick children.

“St. Jude does a lot of the heavy lifting; they’re an incredible organization,” Hershman, who’s chef chair of the event, said. “You can do this fun, interactive thing. It’s kind of like we’re putting together this high-end ‘Blue Apron’ kind of experience.”

The funds raised through this event and others help make sure families never get a bill from St. Jude for travel, housing, food or treatment. The event will take place from 6:30 P.M. EST- 7:30 P.M. If you’d like to follow along with the live stream or just make a donation, click here
