LAKEWOOD RANCH – Sunday marks the start of the 29th season of the Sarasota Polo Club and jockeys and their ponies were ready to give it their all in the field.

Hundreds of tailgater’s line up along the side as the men took the field first with their trusted steeds. The Sarasota Polo Club has made a tradition of hosting polo matches very Sunday afternoon for the rest of the season. Lydia Kolbas has been tailgating for the past 20 years and has done it all when it comes to Polo.

“It’s just magic. I am a big equestrian, I ride and I love the sport and I have been involved with polo for about 20 years now here at the Polo Club and it’s just beautiful,” said Kobals.
