SARASOTA – Sarasota Police Department is an investigating after a body found in Sarasota Bay.
Spokeswoman for Sarasota Police Genevieve Judge says officers were notified of a body in the water just after 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The body was located just 100 yards away from the Sarasota Yacht Club. Officers have not identified the individual but did release it was a male victim.
SPD’s Marine an Patrol recovered the body from the bay and are working to identify the victim.
