 SARASOTA – Kevin Maness sold detectives more than two grams of methamphetamine on October 29th and October 30th. On both occasions, Maness utilized a cellphone to facilitate the transactions.

“These things usually take over several months, what happens is our detectives will identify someone who is selling drugs through different investigative means. It usually takes several months before we are able to identify the person and then go ahead and charge them, says Criminal Investigations Captain, Joe Giasone. “So the purchases of the narcotics will happen over a couple of month period and then the charges happen after that.”

Maness has prior arrests for Fraud, Possession of a controlled substance without prescription, possession of methamphetamine and more. He remains in custody on a $35,000 bond.
