CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – Registration is open for Charlotte County’s “Fit for Life” Senior Games.

This is an Olympic-style event sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation. Those who take part can qualify for the Florida Senior Games State Championships.

Events will take place from Oct. 1 to Oct. 29, ranging from softball, tennis, disc golf, swimming, pickle-ball, golf, and more.

Sunday is the last day to register and receive a t-shirt. Registration for an event ends two weeks prior to an individual event.

To register, you can do it online at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov/seniorgames. Or you can go in person to the Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Pool in Englewood, the South County Regional Park Rec Center in Punta Gorda, or either the Centennial Park or Harold Avenue Park Rec Centers in Port Charlotte.

The dates of the events are:

Oct. 1 – Racewalk at South County Regional Park  
Oct. 3 – Bag Toss at Centennial Park Recreation Center  
Oct. 5 – Basketball (shooting) at Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center  
Oct. 7 – Swimming at Centennial Park Pool 
Oct. 8 – Disc Golf at Centennial Park 
Oct. 10 – Table Tennis at Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center  
Oct. 12 – Tennis (singles) at Tringali Park 
Oct. 13 – Tennis (doubles) at Tringali Park 
Oct. 14 – Tennis (mixed doubles) at Tringali Park  
Oct. 20 – Softball Homerun Derby at Centennial Park 
Oct. 21 – Pickleball (doubles) at South County Regional Park 
Oct. 22 – Pickleball (mixed doubles) at South County Regional Park 
Oct. 24 – Golf at Rotonda West Country Club  
Oct. 28 – Track and Field at Charlotte High School 
Oct. 29 – RC Sailing at South County Regional Park
