SARASOTA – A sight you don’t see everyday, a boat blocking three lanes of traffic on I-75.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that resulted in the driver of the black pickup truck to lose control of his car and his boat.

It happened just after 10:30 Monday night. Investigators say the crash caused southbound lanes of I-75 near the Clark Road on and off ramp to be closed until crews were able to clear the scene.

State trooper Kenn Watson says it’s still too early in the investigation to determine what caused the accident or if the driver could face any charges.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this crash.
