WARM MINERAL SPRINGS (SNN TV) – An update on Warm Mineral Springs: SNN reported recently that Warm Mineral Springs was condemned and closed until further notice. Now a partnership could help reopen the area with temporary buildings.
In September, the North Port City Commission approved opening negotiations involving a public-private partnership that would develop amenities and renovate the buildings.
Under the proposal by the developers who would be tasked with this, they’d bring temporary trailers into the park for changing areas and restrooms while the structures are restored.
The Herald-Tribune reports there are still several steps that must occur before this could happen, including an upcoming commission meeting Thursday.
The water at Warm Mineral Springs also has to be safe to swim.
