SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – North Port Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a Dollar General on West Price Boulevard.
An unknown male wearing a mask waved a firearm at the clerk and demanded cash from the register on Sunday morning.
The suspect fled on foot with an unknown amount of money, possibly northbound on Cranberry Boulevard.
An extensive search for the suspect is underway. It’s possible that the suspect is not from the North Port area
The North Port Police Department describes the suspect as as a black male, about 6-foot-2, wearing a black shirt, black Nike shorts, yellow jacket, and orange slide shoes.
