SIESTA HARBOR – Following the birth of a Manatee caught on camera earlier this week in Siesta Harbor, Mote wants us to be mindful and remember we share the water with local marine life.

Going into the summer months, with more time out on the water, its important to always abide by speed zones, always making sure to go slow in shallow areas.

Wear polarized lenses, stow your line, dispose of trash properly, and never feed or provide water to Manatees.

If you see a distressed or deceased manatee, you are asked to call Mote’s 34/7 hotline at 888-345-2335.
