SARASOTA – Sarasota County deputies are looking for a man that may be linked to two spate robberies along the Suncoast.
It happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night at the subway on Clark Road just before 10 p.m. Employees say a white man carrying a silver handgun demanded money from the employees and ran off.
The sheriff’s office believes this robbery may be linked to a similar robbery at a Chick-Fil-A on Fruitville Road that happened a couple weeks ago.
“Since the two incidents are similar in description of the suspect as well as the way that the incident occurred, handing a backpack to employees,” said Megan Krahe, spokesperson for Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. “We have surveillance video to help us try to identify him, we really are calling on the public’s help to identify him.”
The sheriff’s office wants you to take a good look to see if you recognize him. He’s described to be in his mid–20s, 5 feet 10 and 175 pounds. If you have any information, call Sarasota crime stoppers.
