JACKSON, MS (SNN-TV) – A former Suncoast star had a big day this weekend, as former Venice Indian, Malachi Wideman led the way for the Jackson State Tigers in their 42-12 win over Bethune-Cookman.
The University of Tennessee transfer, Wideman, went off for 4 touchdowns, 169 receiving yards on 9 catches.
Wideman’s four TD’s, brings him to six on the year, to go along with 277 total receiving yards.
The win helped to Jackson State to a 6-1 record in “Primetime” Deion Sanders second season as Tigers head coach.
