SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Yesterday Riverview High School named their new head basketball coach, ushering in a new era of Rams hoops.
From a group of 90 candidates, Kendall Ellis replaces Rudy Fraraccio, who stepped down after three successful seasons. Monday, Ellis was named the Riverview head coach.
Ellis coaches and operates the Florida Aces and Lady Aces AAU program based in the North Port/Port Charlotte area. Yet, it will be the first high school coaching job for the 43-year-old.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports, Khyre’ Ellis, a talented guard who just completed his freshman season at Port Charlotte High averaging 9.7 points per game, is expected to join his father at Riverview, although nothing is official yet.
