SARASOTA (SNN-TV) –  One week ago, Riverview guard Jason Jackson decommitted from Texas Tech. Today, the former Rams star made his next destination public.

Courtesy of his agent Chris Wash at Level 13 Agency, Jackson is reclassifying to the 2024 class and committing to Ole Miss, and will spend this upcoming season in Overtime Elite, a pro basketball league for 16–20-year-olds, based in Atlanta.

Jackson initially committed to Texas Tech back in November of last year, before several coaching changes were made, including the termination of assistant coach Al Pinkins. Jackson now follows Pinkins to Ole Miss, where he was hired in March to be apart of new Rebels head coach, Chris Beard’s staff.

Prior to his time in Oxford, Jackson will play one season with the Cold Hearts of Overtime Elite, one of six teams in the pro league founded in 2021. He’ll join the team later this summer.

Jackson tells SNN it’s, “Time to shock the world and make his momma happy,” and says there’s only, “one way out”.
