BONITA SPRINGS (SNN TV) – Firefighters battle ten brush fires around Bonita Springs in Lee County.

Authorities had to shut down part of I-75 for a while Saturday because one fire was so close to the highway. Helicopters were brought in to drop water on the fires. Florida Highway Patrol reported Saturday at 5:46 P.M. that the center and left lanes on mile markers 116 to 123 reopened.

The state forest service says the fires have burned about 25 acres and are 70% contained as of Saturday evening.

There’s no word of any injuries or what caused the fires.
