SARASOTA – Just days before Santa delivers presents to the good boys and girls around the world he made a pit stop here on the Suncoast.

Kids and their parents enjoyed the 15th annual Breakfast with Santa Saturday morning at Newtown Estates Park. Hosted by the Sarasota County Parks & Rec hundreds of children got a head start on Christmas that included a delicious breakfast with an array of food and fun activities.

Earlayna Batch helped organize the event so every kid enjoys a Christmas treat. “We look forward every year, kicking off the holiday season with the breakfast, which includes a free toy for every child,” said Batch. “If there are any kids out there that maybe don’t get to get a toy this Christmas at least they’ll be able to get something from us.”

Batch says thanks to the public and other sponsors more than 500 kids were able to walk away with a full belly and a new toy.
