SARASOTA – Up for a wild encounter? You can get up close and personal with some endangered species on the Suncoast.
“We feel very privileged that we get to take care of so many beautiful and in many cases severely endangered animals,” said President and Founder of Big Cat Habitat, Kay Rosaire.
Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary will be open every day until January 3rd.
Kay Rosaire, President and Founder of Big Cat Habitat says it’s been a tough year for the Sanctuary
“Customers need to come because they love it here, the animals love to see people and this is how we primarily support them, it’s a great way for a family to spend a beautiful day outdoors at safe distance and we have a fairly large facility so we can fit a lot of people without them having to be too close,” said Rosaire.
The Sanctuary is home to over 155 animals, including 55 big cats.
And if you are interested in getting up close and personal, Big Cat Habitat offers educational and interactive encounters with sloths, lemurs…
“We have foxes, we all have all kinds of beautiful animals that can actually sit down and interact with personally, it’s a great, and you can even have the whole family involved which is really fun and it’s safe,” said Rosaire.
Children of all ages are welcome and admission is free to all retired veterans and to active duty military
“We want you to come out and have a good time in the beautiful outdoors, it’s a little chilly for the beach sot it’s a great day for the big cat habitat,” said Rosaire.
