Longboat Key – Longboat Key residents waited for hours to get home after a gas leak Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 5:30 Tuesday afternoon at 350 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
Lanes were was closed in both directions heading into Longboat Key as Teco along with Sarasota, Longboat Key, and Manatee Fire and Rescue worked to mitigated the leak.
The cause of the gas leak has yet to be released at this time. All roadways are back open.
