SARASOTA – A Florida Fish and Wildlife dive team found the body of the missing boater in big pass not seen since yesterday.
FWC teams searched for the boater who went missing off of South Lido Beach Thursday afternoon. Dozens of first responders from multiple agencies were on scene assisting in the search.
Beach-goers off camera say this part of South Lido Beach is known to have strong currents and noted the No Swim sign posted near the shoreline. FWC spokesman Adam Brown says the incident is still under investigation. The boaters identity has not been released at this time.
