SARASOTA – When Divante Watkins saw the need of essential supplies in his community he partnered with a fellow nonprofit to make none goes hungry.

Watkins founded Future Leaders of America, a not-for-profit that helps teens discover their talents. He and All Faiths Food Bank prepared enough meal kits for 380 people. He families will receive fresh produce as well as other nutritious meals.

“During this time, during this pandemic this is the time the people need us and the community needs us,” said Watkins. “It’s all about leadership. Just taking on action when the neighborhood and the community really need you, so that’s very important.”

Watkins says his wish is to host educational seminars for students k-12.
