LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla (SNN TV) — The Lakewood Ranch Library is now open to the public, and it’s Manatee County’s first library built in the 21st century.

More than 500 people showed up for the ribbon cutting Saturday morning.

The library is approximately 25,000 square feet of usable space and has three meeting rooms.

Plus, it has Manatee county’s first library drive-thru window.

SNN previously reported that the library contained a video game center for teens, an outdoor play area, a recording room for podcasts, a workshop with a 3D printer, coding equipment and sewing machines, and a rooftop for special events.

The Lakewood Ranch Library will be open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
