NEW YORK, NY (SNN-TV) – Before last Friday, Florida Atlantic didn’t have an NCAA tournament win in the history of its men’s basketball program. Less than a week later, the Owls have three, and they’re one game away from the Final Four.

FAU came back in the second half to beat 4-seed Tennessee 62-55 in last night’s Sweet 16 match-up and now will face 3-seed Kansas State in tomorrow’s Elite Eight.

It was another impressive performance in a season filled with them from FAU. The Owls ended Thursday with the most wins in the country, sitting at 34-3. They won 20 games in a row earlier this season. They’re currently on a 10-game winning streak.

The Wildcats and Owls are set to collide tomorrow night at 6:09 on TBS.

We also saw each remaining one-seed knocked off tonight, with Alabama and Houston falling to San Diego State and Miami, setting up the first Elite Eight, since seeding started in 1979, that’ll take place without a one-seed.
