SARASOTA – The game of Polo has been around for more than 2,500 years and here on the Suncoast the sport of kings is quickly gaining popularity amongst residents. Jaime Klauber founded Epic Equine Experiences, a business for equestrian’s enthusiast to ride and share in common the love for these majestic creatures.

“I have a passion for horses and I wanted to spend the last, however long, of my career trying to make a business out of these beautiful animals,” said Klauber.

Klauber went on to create Sarasota’s new Epic Polo Club. The league practices at the Resilient Reserve wanting to create a place where anyone can join in on the fun.

“We leased a large portion of their property to create a polo club here for more kind of social polo and grassroots,” said Klauber.

But that’s not all Epic Equine does to prepare one to battle on their trusted steed. Klauber also teaches people how to first ride a horse. Klauber and her team of talented handlers teach an array of clients from novice to experts how to hone their Polo skills.

“We do up about 25 lessons a week here,” she said. “We wanted to show our community that you don’t have to be a gazillionaire in order to play polo.”

The club even provides Polo ponies for those who don’t own their own horse. Klauber says at the end of the day she just wants to share her passion of horses with other.

“We are all about fun and horses and these incredible animals, we are a social club and we want people to just come,” said Klauber. It can be an amazing experience and a passion.”

The club’s next tournament is on December 7th at the Resilient Reserve located on 13010 Fruitville RoadSarasota, FL, 34240. The match starts at 11 a.m.
