SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Not all players hear there named called as selections during the NFL Draft, but that doesn’t mean the dreams ends there.
Several undrafted players, sign contracts to attend camp following the draft’s completion, and two former Suncoast stars did just that.
Former Charlotte Tarpons running back, D’Vonte Price and Venice Indians receiver Jaivon Heiligh each signed as Undrafted Free Agents on Saturday.
The FIU Panthers tailback, Price signed with the Indianapolis Colts, while the Coastal Carolina wideout signed with the AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals.
In his four seasons with the Panthers, Price shattered records for most yards-per-rush in a season and rushing yards.
Heiligh was named first-team All-Sun Belt after racking up over 1,000 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last season.
