SARASOTA – A man suffers a medical emergency and slams into a palm in Sarasota Tuesday night.
It happened at the intersection of 10th St. and Orange Ave. near the Sarasota Military Academy just after 8:30 p.m.
The large tree landed right in the middle the road. No streets were closed as a result of the crash. Police tells us the driver suffered a medial issue and was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
