SARASOTA- A reckless driver flees from police through Sarasota neighborhoods, Friday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson from the Sarasota Police Department, officers attempted to pull over what was described as a reckless driver at Fruitville Road and U.S 41. Officers say the female driver fled from police, forcing several police cruisers to chase her through portions of Sarasota, just southeast of downtown.
A police maneuver flattened the driver’s tires, and the pursuit came to an end in the 2400 block of Calamonga Drive.
Officers are still investigating and no injuries have been reported.
