SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A “Dream Court” will be unveiled this week in honor of Basketball Hall of Famer Dick Vitale.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and basketball clinic for Suncoast youngsters will be held at the Lee Wetherington Boys and Girls Club, Thursday, January 11th at 3:30 P-M.
Nancy Lieberman Charities has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties to present a new Dream Court to the community in honor of Dickie V.
The outdoor basketball court located at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club, will provide a safe place for youth to play basketball and build relationships.
Lieberman is a Basketball Hall of Famer, as well, and she knows her way around a basketball court.
Nancy Lieberman Charities has donated over 125 Dream Courts throughout the U.S.
Dick and Lorraine Vitale are well-acquainted with the Lee Wetherington Boys and Girls Club as they throw an annual Christmas parties for kids there, and they also have given out thousands of dollars in scholarship to deserving Boys & Girls club members.
