BRADENTON (SNN TV) – The De Soto Grand Parade rolls through Bradenton tonight.

You may already have seen people in their chairs on Manatee Avenue. The tradition started in 1939 by the Hernando de Soto Historical Society. Over 150 entries will parade from Manatee High School, head east on Manatee Avenue and go through downtown Bradenton.

Our partners at the Herald-Tribune suggest making a reservation at a downtown Bradenton restaurant and then walking to the corner of Old Main Street and Manatee Avenue to watch the parade.

Just a warning that there could be some nasty weather around that time or a bit before the parade according to our Leslie London.

It begins at 7 P-M tonight. Manatee High is at 902 33rd St. Ct. W.
