Hurricane season is just around the corner. June 1st is the official start date of the season, so to help you prepare, the National Weather Service is hosting Hurricane Preparedness Week.
Monday is dedicated to developing an evacuation plan. Find out whether you live in a storm surge evacuation zone, and where you would go and how you’d get there, if you’re told to evacuate. Be sure to include your pets in your plans and for more preparation tips, visit weather.gov to keep up with their Hurricane Preparedness Week.
