(WSNN) – With the coronavirus keeping everyone cooped up in the house, kids don’t have much to do.

A Suncoast family of filmmakers comes up with a solution. They plan to make the largest zombie movie in the world.

“We were just thinking of an idea to do something like have a movie that can be purely online that you can do at home, and as such, we thought that the perfect way to do it would be a zombie movie,” World’s Largest Zombie Movie actor, director, and boy, Felix Ratner, said.

The Ratner’s are a family of creators and Filmmakers. Parents, Petra and Paul, are also Sarasota Film Festival organizers.

And with the coronavirus postponing events and keeping people indoors, the Ratner’s used their creative juices to come up with: “The World’s Largest Zombie Movie.”

It’s free to register and any kid around the world K-12 can participate Here’s the catch; it’s all done at home.

“You don’t need to go out and buy costumes or try to go anywhere where there may be people or where it is not safe,” Felix Ratner said.

It’s about letting a kid’s imagination run free while boxed in quarantine.

“We think it’s a lot of fun and there’s a lot of opportunities to hide in the closet and come up with crazy storylines that involve around your household,” World’s Largest Zombie Movie producer, Paul Ratner, said.

When you register, you have the option to choose what type of filmmaker you’ll be. After you register:

“You will start getting some pages from us with some directions. And then we’re going to organize all the kids who register into waves.”

Friday starts Wave One. Paul says about 100 people are in this wave.

He says they will send groups of stories to different people to give them options. The general storyline will be created over time.

“We’ll keep track of the overall storyline and where this whole kind of big narrative is going,” Paul Ratner said.

While he doesn’t know how long it will be, they plan to end it on a good note.

“We hope to have a happy ending for sure,” Paul Ratner said.

Anyone interested in participating can register at WorldsLargestMovie.com. The Ratner’s say they plan to premiere the movie on May 1st, online.
