SARASOTA -The Florida Department of Health says 105 new cases have been confirmed across the state and two more patents have died due to coronavirus.
The Florida DOH reports one patient died from Broward County and the other from Duval County. Bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 12 patients.
Sarasota and Manatee County both reported an additional confirmed patient in each county.
Sarasota Memorial is also reporting three more patients at the hospital have tested positive for the virus. One SMH doctor went into self-quarantine after coming in contact with a patient that tested positive.
Hospital officials say they’re currently monitoring five patients for COVID-19. Sarasota County is now reporting 14 positive cases, and Manatee County has reached 13 total confirmed cases. Charlotte County Health Officials still only report two cases.
As of Saturday night the total number of cases in the state has reached 763 positive cases.
