MANATEE COUNTY – You’ll have to bring a clear bag if you want to go to sporting events in Manatee County schools.

According to the Herald Tribune, the policy is coming back after previously being implemented in 2019. The district didn’t cite a specific event that led to this.

A person’s bag must be no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 and made of clear material that can be easily searched. Small non-clear clutch bags are allowed but are subject to search when entering a game.

Fans can still bring cameras, binoculars, seat cushions, and blankets for colder games. The items must be carried by hand, and bags designed to carry those items are not allowed.
