Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office changing protocols amid COVID spike

CHARLOTTE COUNTY (WSNN) – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is adjusting protocols due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Last week, the office had 20 COVID cases, and today they had eight more.

So far in August, there have been 34 COVID cases at the Sheriff’s Office. Before this month, February had the highest number of cases at 25.

The office is suspending all fingerprinting services. They are also postponing their upcoming Agency Awards Ceremonies and their Citizen’s Police Academy classes.
