CHARLOTTE COUNTY (SNN TV) – Athletics in Charlotte County are going to take a while to bring back.
The Charlotte County School District believes every school can be used in some way even if some sections need to be closed and reconfigured. However, athletics facilities have not been deemed safe as of an update Friday. They’re continuing to dry out gyms and remove small and large metal debris on the fields.
Once they are safe and the all-clear is given, athletics will resume. The county is aiming to reopen schools October 24th, but it’s not official. If they can safely open before the 24th, Charlotte County schools say they’ll do so and provide plenty of notice.
