TAMPA (SNN-TV) – A former Sarasota Sailor turned-USF Bull reached a feat not achieved by a Bulls running back in 4 years.

South Florida fell 48-42 to Tulsa on Friday night on the road, but the bright spot for the Bulls was glaring.

Running back Brian Battie needed 127 yards to hit the 1,000 yard rushing mark on the season. He rushed for 169 yards on 19 carries giving him 1,042 yards on the year. He’s the first USF running back to crack 1,000 since Jordan Cronkrite rushed for 1,121 yards in 2018.

Battie will look to add to his season total, on Saturday as USF will face Central Florida to end their season at home.
