NORTH PORT, Fla. (SNN TV) – North Port Utilities rescinded its precautionary boil water notice.

The notice was issued Friday after the city reported a contractor damaged a water main. The water main services Gran Paradiso and Island Walk communities.

Because the water pressure fell below 20 PSI, the advisory was issued as a precaution for Gran Paradiso and Island Walk.

However, the city of North Port said today that the notice was rescinded after a bacteriological survey. The results showed that the water is safe for consumption, ice-making, and cooking.
