Body found floating in Manatee River

MANATEE- Deputies responded to a body floating in Manatee River, Sunday.

It happened by the Green Bridge around 9am. Palmetto Police and the MCSO Marine Unit responded, they were able to identify the man as 59-year-old Daniel Dade.

 
Deputies say shortly after he was identified, his wife reported him missing. According to deputies this appears to be an accidental drowning, and they are continuing to search for Dade’s boat.

This is an ongoing investigation.
