OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (SNN-TV) – Eight teams are in the Women’s College World Series this season and a Suncoast product led the Florida Gators to victory yesterday.
Myakka City native and Former Lakewood Ranch star, 1B/OF Avery Goelz went 2 for 3 with three RBI’s as the Gators took down Oregon State last night, 7-1.

UF was also anchored on the mound by Natalie Lugo, who came in the game in relief for Florida after the Gators gave up four hits and a run in the first, getting them out of a bases-loaded jam before going on to pitch six innings with just one hit allowed and six strikeouts.
