SARASOTA – From food trucks, to live music, to pumpkin painting, one Suncoast business is bringing back some fun to Sundays.

“Number one rule of Sunday Funday is to have fun,” said Owner’s of the Artful Giraffe, Tess and Timothy Craig.

The Artful Giraffe hosted their monthly Sunday Funday with an Intergalactic twist

“There’s everything for everyone, there’s art activities for all ages, there’s cocktails, there’s food trucks, there’s all kinds of handmade goods from local artists that we love to support here,” said Craig.

Little ones even got the opportunity to express themselves with Suncoast Artist, Brandon Thrift

“They’re honestly the most creative, they are just creative machines, their imaginations are out of this world, and it’s really cool to see everything that they can come up with, I learn so much more from the kids then I do with adults, and I think it is super super rewarding in that sense, just to be able to express with them is very, very fun,” said Suncoast Artist, Brandon Thrift.

One Suncoast jewelry designer says she is thankful for events that allow local talent to showcase their work

“Sarasota is a great place, a really accepting place for local artist and it really does help boost our confidence as well, Artful Giraffe, Tess and Tim have been really supportive of everyone and everyone’s work and getting exposed, word of mouth is one of the greatest things, even though we have social media now, having people come out and witness your work in person is a gift,” said Jewelry Designer of Great Green Owl Arts, Chanel Alessi.

“Sarasota is my home, Sarasota is my roots, and it’s really cool to see everybody attach themselves to that community, the concept of community, the concept of togetherness, I think that’s really important,” said Thrift.

The Artful Giraffe hosts ‘Sunday Funday’ every second Sunday of the Month. For more information on the event you can visit their website here.
